Current support
[edit].stl (see Commons:Project scope/Allowable file types); a growing category tree is developing for those files already uploaded. However, as the STL format was originally designed for computer-aided manufacturing (specifically, stereolithographic processes), the files are untextured and therefore cannot display colours or other modern material-rendering capabilities. Supporting other formats has been proposed.File extension ".stl" does not match the detected MIME type of the file (unknown/unknown).

Freedom of panorama
[edit]Note that because a 3D model has the potential to represent a 3D object with fidelity, 'freedom of panorama' concerns may or may not apply depending on jurisdiction. For more on this, see COM:UA.
